Autumn Knight: In Rehearsal is the first comprehensive publication on the New York-based performance artist. Published by Krannert Art Museum with support from Project Row Houses, the book features new essays by performance studies scholars Jennifer Doyle and Sandra Ruiz and curators Ryan N. Dennis and Amy L. Powell, a conversation between the artist and choreographer Cynthia Oliver, and Knight’s original performance scores and research notes. In Rehearsal establishes critical frameworks for understanding Knight’s work through race, gender, authority and their play in institutions presenting performance.
